| Askew Road, Hammersmith |
| A new development of 4
luxury apartments and a Sainsurys Local store in the heart of Hammersmith,
West London. The apartments are two bedroom units to a high specification
with Gas heating, external balconies and hardwood floors, serviced
with satellite television. |
| This was a 2 phase demolition
and new build of a site in Hammersmith, London. The site was originally
a petrol station, which has been cleared to make way for a new Sainsbury's
store, with 4 apartments attached and particular difficult constraints
impacted on project |
| After demolition
of the petrol station and the storage tanks a period of ground remediation
took place to ensure no pollutants dissipated from the site into the
water course below ground situated just above London clay strata.
|
| The site remained partially
covered by four apartments at first floor level that had provided
a concrete canopy for the petrol station below. This structure was
supported on columns on mass concrete foundations. The new structure
to one side is composed of a concrete structure with external elevations
of brickwork and curtain walling. |
| All the works comply
with the latest security measures and compliant latest building regulations.
The Sainsbury's Local store was fitted out con-currently with the
completion of the apartments. |
